Emily and David’s love sparked three and a half years ago. While both being full-time students in Chattanooga, working on their futures, they built a future together. Their love bloomed into an engagement, which is now allowing them to prepare for one of the biggest days of their lives, their wedding day.
For this engagement session, Emily mentioned she would love to split it into a downtown session and a quarry session. Downtown Erin, TN has some beautiful brick walls which became many of our spots for our images. We then moved on to the quarry. The quarry is amazing. There are two sides which can be used to capture beautiful pictures. It was very sunny on this day, which was a nice break from all of the rain we had been having in Tennessee. However, this sun made it almost impossible to capture pictures on the outside of the quarry. We got some though, and they turned out beautiful. I love that Emily chose two different locations for their session. Engagement sessions are some of the sweetest sessions I get to shoot. I love seeing this new love show up in the lens.
Emily and David met one day at an Olive Garden. They didn’t initially speak to each other. However, they finally started chatting and getting to know each other. They would realize they have things in common, especially the love of hiking. Their love of hiking would help set up David’s proposal at a later date. In their free time, while getting to know each other and falling in love, Emily and David learned they enjoyed just relaxing together and having Bible studies together. What an amazing way to grow your love while also building your faith together, right??
For the proposal, David took Emily to one of their favorite hiking spots in North Carolina, called Max Patch. Here there is a 360 degree view of the mountains. David invited Emily’s best friend and her boyfriend to take part in this momentous occasion in their lives. In this gorgeous spot in November 2019, with friends, David asked Emily to be his wife and to spend the rest of her life with him. This is where their life together as one began and they will continue building this life throughout their wedding and their marriage.
Emily and David, thank you so much for choosing me to document your love for each other throughout this special time in your lives. You are starting it out perfectly. For these next few months, though they may get stressful, just remember what brought you here to where you are. Continue allowing God to guide the two of through your Bible studies. And, always make time for each other to go on a hike or just relax on the couch. I can’t wait for your wedding at Firefly Lane in October!!
